Here's a very quick tip on how to release paracord from a carabiner when you are wearing heavy winter gloves.
Check out all of our different carabiners at ParcordStore!
Speaker 1: Hi everybody. This is Mick from Jester Bushcraft, and I've got a really quick tip for you today.
You may have noticed I've got really big, thick warm gloves on. That's just for the purpose of the video. It's not actually that cold today, but if you're using this kind of clip like a caribena, smallest caribena, or one of these, and you're using it in conjunction with your paracord, to maybe guy line tie-out for a ridge line, or any sort of suspension, when you come to pack up, you may want to release the paracord if you've got in a loop like that from the clip.
Now, if you've got big gloves on like this, pressing down on the clip and tucking this through, can sometimes get in the way of your gloves. The reason I've not got that glove on is because I'm having to operate the camera. It's a bit of a faff on to keep checking the camera. With this hand, you got to press down on the clip and it's difficult to get. Keep the glove out of the way while you're … do you see what I mean?
There is an easier way of doing it. It's simply a case of over the top and down. I'll do that a little bit slower. You may already know about this, but there might be people who haven't seen this before. There's your loop. It's simply a case of pass the paracord over the top of the clip and pull down, and it just comes clean out. No messing, no snagging. Over the top and pull down, and out it comes. I've not even had to use this hand to adjust, to press down on the clip. It's all done with the paracord and this other hand. So I can hold this, wherever I want ,really. I don't have to hold close. I can hold right down here. I just take it over the top and pull down and away it comes. So there you go, a quick tip. I hope that's been of use to you.
Thanks for watching. I'll see you on next video.
